How do we determine a student's band?
If the student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task and attempts to use less common vocabulary but with some inaccuracy. And also makes some errors in spelling and/or word formation, but they do not impede communication. What band would he get in Lexical Resources?
If there is a lack of overall progression and an inadequate, inaccurate or overuse of cohesive devices. The words may be repetitive because of the lack of referencing and substitution. Also may not write in paragraphs, or paragraphing may be inadequate. What band would the student get in 'coherence and cohesion'?
