Student Response:

Some sections of the society feel that public funds must be utilised for the upliftment of citizens, rather than grooming the sportsmen for international sports events. There are those who think this money should be promoted for the wellbeing of common citizens. I am in agreement of this view. There are so many baseline requirements which the people below poverty line are in dire need of; which can be streamlined by the finance from the government and this essay will elaborate on those need of the hour issues.

There are various concerns prevailing in the society such as low sanitation, poor infrastructure, lack of access to good drinking water and food. It is the primary duty of the government to work towards the welfare of the people. Moreover, using the funds effectively will upgrade the economy and standard of living of the people.

On the other hand, if we see there are increase number of deaths rate due to lack of medical facilities which include deaths during deliveries because of lack of easy and on time medical assistant and even young children along with infant dying due to malnutrition which together can bring the decline in the population.

Adding to this, employment is also a raising voice among the respective countries which can lead to depression and mental stress on the youth today. Government should take up the initiatives to provide employment to the people.

In conclusion, government's principal responsibility should be towards the people of the nation rather than enhancing the sports performances internationally.

Student Response:

In my opinion, governments should prioritize spending public money on things that will benefit the general public, rather than solely on training athletes for international sporting events. While I understand the importance of representing one's country on a global stage, investing in athletes can be costly and may not provide a tangible benefit for the majority of citizens.

For example, in India, the government spends a significant amount of money on training and supporting Cricket players in their training and facilities. While this may result in trophies won by the Indian Cricket team and bringing pride to the country, it does not necessarily improve the lives of the general public. In contrast, that money could be better spent on improving public infrastructure, education, and healthcare, which would benefit all citizens.

Furthermore, investing in sports can also perpetuate inequality, as only those with the resources and access to training facilities and coaches are able to pursue athletic careers. This can leave many talented individuals without the opportunity to succeed, while also diverting public funds away from more pressing needs.

In conclusion, while I appreciate the value of sports and the desire to represent one's country on a global stage, I believe that governments should prioritize spending public money on projects that will benefit the general public as a whole. This includes investments in education, healthcare, and infrastructure, which can improve the quality of life for all citizens, rather than just a select few athletes.

Hi Dinesh,

I hope everything fine on your side.

Many thanks for arranging us a tour package to Kullu Manali. We planned for honeymoon trip after our marriage to Kullu Manali, where we can enjoy snow heavily  during this month. We  enjoyed both climate and adventurous games very much during this tour.

We went for river rafting which was the best and adventurous spot in this whole trip. We took two seated boat and went nearly 7 kms ride in the fast running river. We offered with all safety related things like life jacket so that we can ride till deepest part of the river.

I suggest you to offer a Volvo type buses for traveling from Delhi to Manali. Because it's a full night travel which might cause body pain when we reached at Manali. Also recommend to include dinner for this package in future.

Regards,

Dinesh.

Dear Sir/Madam,

To begin with I am writing this letter to you to convey my experience I had about the vacation with my family. I booked your resort with the help of my friend Sunil who is a travel agent and organizes customized trips based on your requirements.

My family  enjoyed the stay here and had an amazing feeling, the nature is beautiful, my parents loved the flowers outside the room and once near the pool-side. My sister's kids were overwhelmed looking at the pool because they enjoyed the water. Furthermore, the food was great, especially the chicken curry and my sister’s kids loved the hot chocolate fudge with ice-cream.

In addition, thank you for the hospitality which made us feel like home. I would like to give you one suggestion, if you set up a fire-camp during the night opposite to the swimming pool it would be great. This would attract more customers and will help you get more business.

Yours faithfully,

Questions

The Importance of Sleep: More Than Rest and Relaxation

By Paisley Hansen

With the pace of modern life seeming to increase every day, it is easy to suddenly find yourself feeling fatigued, drained and just plain run down. From working adults to young students, it is common to think that staying up later for just an hour or so is harmless. However, those extra hours of television watching, game playing or even working can add up and take their toll on our wellbeing. This forms what is referred to as a sleep deficit, and can be as difficult to recover from as having a deficit in your bank account balance. Needless to say, getting adequate sleep is vital to a person's health. In order to appreciate the value of a good night's sleep, it is best to first have an understanding of why we designed to need sleep in the first place. Here are a few ways that sleep - or lack thereof - can have an effect on the quality of your life.

Brain and Memory Function

We all have those days when we forget things - where we put our car keys, the due date for a homework assignment, or - on particularly hectic days - what we ate for breakfast. If you can rule out medical causes or medication side effects, you may be experiencing these episodes of forgetfulness because of poor sleep habits. Your brain's synapses begin to slow and do not make the proper connections when they are overly fatigued, so you are less able to focus on a task or on a thought process. This state becomes harmful because it will impact everything from successfully completing a school test to reaction time while driving - the latter of these will, of course, have more serious life-altering consequences.

Immune System

Acquiring an illness such as the common cold is a part of life. Whether you feel like you are coming down with a mild case of the sniffles or something more serious, your body will be unprepared to fight off the invading virus if it is not rested. Rest allows cells to repair and strengthen so that they can perform their jobs well, so be sure to help yourself to stay well by getting the sleep that your immune system requires. If you do get a full-blown malady such as the flu, you will find that your recovery time is much shorter if you are taking good care of yourself. Denying your system time to do what it needs to do will only cause it to go into overdrive, and will be unable to compensate for what it is lacking because it must struggle even more with just its basic functions. Introducing a foreign matter such as a virus would spell trouble, and you may very likely have to spend several days in bed anyway!

Metabolism and Weight

Another common problem with modern society is the constant struggle with weight and the processing of certain types of food. Many people who struggle with staying within a healthy weight range discover that even regimented dieting and exercise programs are not always enough to keep the unwanted pounds off. Much like your immune system, your metabolic system also requires energy and sufficient opportunity to perform its necessary processes properly. If you rob it of these requirements, the body tends to slow down so that other things can catch up - and that means that you will not be metabolizing your food as well as you should. If you form this habit long-term, your body will eventually take the hint and go into what could be called a hibernation or starvation mode, so it will begin to store away calories and fat instead of burning them for energy. As the calories pile up, the pounds start to pile on. Once this habit sets in, it can be very hard to break, and you can be in for a battle for future weight loss efforts. On top of that, you will be too tired and weak to exercise - which is bad for anyone long-term!

Student Response:

In today's world, we are often very busy and focus on work and other things instead of sleeping. Sleep is very important for our health, but it's easy to choose other things over it. The article talks about the importance of getting enough sleep for our health. If we don't sleep enough, our memory and brain function may not work well, and we may be slower to react. We may also get sick more easily because our body's defences aren't as strong. Not sleeping enough can also make it harder to exercise and eat healthily. But if we sleep enough, our bodies can heal and get stronger. This helps us stay healthy and recover faster if we get sick. So it's important to make sure we sleep enough to be healthy and feel good.

Student Response:

In today's fast-paced world, it's commons to prioritize work and other activities over getting sleep adequate. Sleeps is vital for our health, yet with our busy lifestyles, it's easy to sacrifice those extra hours for other activities. Sleep deficits can leads to poor memory and brain function, slower reaction times, and a weaken immune system. Lack of sleep can also cause weight gains by disrupt the metabolic system. When our bodies don't have enough rest, they becomes tired and weak, making it harder to maintain a healthy lifestyle through exercise and healthy eating. On the others hand, adequate sleep allows cells to repair and strengthens, ensuring that they perform their jobs effectively, which can reduce the likelihoods of illness and improves recovery times. The key takeaways is that we must prioritize sleep is essentials for physical and mental well-being. It's vital to ensure that we gets enough rest to function effectively in our daily lives. By getting enough sleep, we can improves our memory, reaction times, immune systems, and metabolism, ultimately leading to a healthier and more fulfilling life.

On top of that, you will be too tired and weak to exercise - which is bad for anyone long-term!

Student Response:

In the modern Era our life has become more occupied than ever before.

Some natural consequences of occupied life is to feel enervated, exhausted or out of mood.

Working late nights or staying up late is a common trait from Working adults to young students.

Which has many detrimental effects in our overall body. Sleep deficit is directly proportional to our Brain memory and functions, Immune system, Metabolism and Weight.

It affects our Brain and Memory function directly by making us forget things in our daily life.

If we put aside these medical terms and conditions then we may be experiencing these episodes of forgetfulness because of poor sleep habits.

Our brain's synapses begin to slow and do not make the proper connections when they are overly fatigued

which then plummets work quality and productivity and eventually increases workload and stress.

Furthermore, Catching a flu or a cold is easy to cure, but if you're not getting away from it for such a long period of time then it's a big red flag for your immune system.

Your body will be unprepared to fight off the invading virus if it is not rested.

Rest allows cells to repair and strengthen so that they can perform their jobs well,

so be sure to help yourself to stay well by getting the sleep that your immune system requires.

Lastly, Another common problem with modern society is the constant struggle with weight and the processing of certain types of food.

Sometimes even regimented dieting and exercise programs are not always enough to keep the unwanted pounds off.

Like our other body organs and systems our Metabolism too requires a loud and deep sleep to recover itself to perform its necessary processes properly.

Once the habit of getting less sleep sets in then one action will lead to another as the calories start spiking up,

the unwanted pounds will automatically start to pile on then it's gonna be very hard to break, and you can be in for a battle for future weight loss efforts.

Student Response:

I received a mysterious package in the mail from someone I haven't spoken to in a long time. It was a small, rectangular box, wrapped in green paper with a yellow ribbon tied around it. I was excited to open it, but also a little nervous because I didn't know what was inside. As I slowly unwrapped the present, my hands trembled with excitement, and my heart raced with anticipation. Finally, the wrapping paper fell away, and I saw a card on top of the box. It read, "Hey old friend, I hope this gift puts a smile on your face. Love, A Friend."

I smiled to myself, wondering what could be inside the box. I carefully opened it and pulled out a pair of fuzzy socks with my face printed on them! I burst out laughing when I saw them and couldn't believe that someone would think to give me such a unique and funny gift. It was hilarious, and I couldn't wait to show them to my family and friends.

It turned out that the person who sent the gift was an old classmate from elementary school Sara, who I hadn't seen in years. We lost touch because we went to different high schools, but they found me on social media recently and decided to send me a gift. I was so happy and grateful to reconnect with my old friend, and I immediately sent them a message thanking them for the socks and promising to catch up soon.

I wore the socks everywhere, and everyone who saw them laughed and commented on how funny they were. It was a great conversation starter, and it brought back fond memories of my childhood and the fun times I had with my friend. I knew I had to send them something back to show my appreciation, but I had no idea what to send. After brainstorming with my family, we decided to send a package filled with snacks, candies, and small trinkets that were unique to our country. We also included a heartfelt letter expressing our gratitude and how much we missed our friend.

Student Response:

Tom and I had lost touch because we both went off to different colleges, but we always remained close in our hearts. I knew I had to send something back to show my appreciation, but I had no idea what to send. It was an unusual gift, but also one of the coolest things I had ever received. Finally, the wrapping paper fell away, and I saw a card on top of the box. I immediately called him to say thank you and to catch up on old times.

I decided to make a mixtape of all our favourite songs from our college days. It was as if we had never been apart. I couldn't wait to play my old vinyl records on it and feel transported back in time. I received a large, heavy package in the mail from an old friend who I haven't seen in over a decade. After thinking long and hard, I included a handwritten letter expressing my gratitude and how much our friendship meant to me.

Receiving this gift reminded me of all the good times we had shared and how much I missed him. As I dug deeper into the box, I found a vintage record player! We talked for hours, reminiscing about our past adventures and updating each other on our current lives. I was both surprised and excited, wondering what could be inside. I wanted to show him that I still cared and that I would always cherish our memories together.
